Applications to present projects at the 8th edition of the Ideas Fair (Feira de Ideias) were extended to Sunday, October 12th, by 11:59 p.m. Created by Conectas Direitos Humanos in partnership with Sesc 24 de Maio, the initiative is part of the scheduled celebrations of the International Human Rights Day. The full call notice can be read here, and applications must be made through this form.
Scheduled for December 5 and 6, at Sesc 24 de Maio, the Fair will select up to 20 initiatives for the promotion and achievement of human rights. Proposals can be registered in the categories of visual arts, audiovisual, photography, social or community initiatives and journalism, exposed in tables, totems, or LCD screens.
With the projects exhibited, the Fair attempts to encourage reflections and discussions on the challenges and obstacles to the current expansion and achievement of human rights. The topics that can be approached by the proponents include migration and refuge, antiracism, climate justice, religious freedom and diversity, indigenous people and quilombola rights, strengthening of human rights defenders, democracy defense, gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights, the prison and socio-educational system, the anti-asylum agenda, human rights promotion in the digital space, and the fight against misinformation.
Students, researchers, artists, journalists, independent communicators, non-governmental organizations, collectives, social movements, non-profit entities, and other people over the age of 18 that develop projects meant for this topic may all apply. The assessment and selection of proposals will be carried out by the Fair’s curatorial team, made up Conectas and Sesc staff. The results will be disclosed on November 7, 2025 at the Conectas (www.conectas.org) and Sesc 24 de Maio (www. sescsp.org.br/unidades/24-de-maio) websites.
