Conectas and Sesc open registrations for the 8th edition of the Ideas Fair
The initiative is looking for projects and actions aimed at promoting human rights
Registration is now open for the submission of projects for the 8th Ideas Fair, organized by Conectas Human Rights, in partnership with Sesc 24 de Maio, to celebrate International Human Rights Day. The call was launched on Wednesday (10) and will remain open until 11.59pm on October 8th, the deadline for receiving proposals. The main objective of the Ideas Fair is to promote and showcase projects related to the promotion and realization of human rights and this year it will take place on December 5th and 6th, at Sesc 24 de Maio. Up to 20 initiatives will be selected to be displayed during the event. These fall into five different categories: visual arts, audiovisual, photography, social or community initiatives, and journalism. The projects will be shown in three formats: exhibition tables, LCD screens, and totems.
The Fair seeks to spark reflections and discussions on the current challenges and obstacles to expanding and implementing human rights, through the exhibition of projects. Among the topics that could be addressed by applicants are migration and refuge; antiracism; climate justice; religious freedom and diversity; the rights of Indigenous peoples and quilombola communities; strengthening human rights defenders; defending democracy; gender equity and LGBTQIA+ rights; the prison and juvenile justice systems; the anti-asylum agenda, the promotion of human rights in the digital space, and the fight against disinformation.

Students, researchers, artists, journalists, independent communicators, non-governmental organizations, collectives, social movements, non-profit entities, and other individuals over 18 years old who develop projects related to this theme may apply. Proposals will be assessed and selected by the Fair’s curatorial team, composed of members from Conectas and Sesc. The results will be announced on November 7th 2025 on the Conectas website (www.conectas.org) and the Sesc 24 de Maio website (www.sescsp.org.br/unidades/24-de-maio).
