Organizers of the Vladimir Herzog Journalistic Award for Amnesty and Human Rights announce finalists for the 2023 edition

The winners of the award will be chosen by the Organizing Committee on 13th of October, from 2pm to 5pm, in an in-person public session at the Espaço Vladimir Herzog of the São Paulo Journalists Union. During this year”s award, 528 productions were evaluated in these seven categories: Art, Photography, Text, Video, Audio, Multimedia and Report Book.

About the award

The solemn ceremony of the 45th Vladimir Herzog Journalistic Award for Amnesty and Human Rights will take place on Tuesday the 24th of October, at 8pm, at Tucarena, in São Paulo. The traditional Conversation Circle with the Winners will precede the ceremony, from 2pm to 5pm.

The Vladimir Herzog Award is promoted and organized by a committee made up of the following institutions: Brazilian Press Association (ABI); National Federation of Journalists (FENAJ); Union of Professional Journalists in the State of São Paulo (SJSP); Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (ABRAJI); Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies (Intercom); School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP); São Paulo State Police Ombudsman; Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of São Paulo; Conectas Human Rights; Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB Nacional); Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo Section (OAB-SP), Periphery in Motion, Vladimir Herzog Institute (IVH) and Herzog Family.

An arc of alliances formed by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUCSP), TV PUC, Canal Universitário de São Paulo (CNU), Brazilian Union of Writers (UBE), Executive Secretariat for Climate Change linked to the Government Secretariat of the City of São Paulo Paul; Pryzant Design, CDI and OBORÉ acts as a group of partners creating this 45th edition.
