Finalists Announced for the Vladimir Herzog Journalism Award for Amnesty and Human Rights

This year, 601 productions were entered in seven categories: Art, Photography, Text, Video, Audio, Multimedia and Book Report

This year, 601 productions were entered in seven categories: Art, Photography, Text, Video, Audio, Multimedia and Book-report. The winners will be chosen by the Organizing Committee on October 10, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in a public session broadcast live on the Award’s YouTube Channel.

About the Vladimir Herzog Journalism Award

The Vladimir Herzog Journalism Award is one of Brazil’s most prestigious recognitions for work that promotes human rights, social justice, and the freedom of expression. The award is organized by a coalition of prominent institutions, including the Brazilian Press Association (ABI), Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (ABRAJI), Article 19, the Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of São Paulo, Conectas Human Rights, and the University of São Paulo’s School of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP), among others.

This award continues to play a vital role in recognizing courageous and impactful journalism that sheds light on critical issues facing society today.
