Conectas is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization founded in São Paulo/Brazil in September 2001. Its mission is to promote the realization of human rights and consolidation of the Rule of Law in the Global South – Africa, Asia and Latin America. We develop strategies focused on the promotion of a world without injustices, with a truly global, diverse and effective human rights movement. To do so, we work to strengthen and influence national and international institutions to become more democratic, effective and transparent.
The organization is going through a time of significant growth, expanding its partnerships and strengthening its strategies.
Along with a highly qualified team, the new executive director will be responsible for maintaining and advancing the reputation and credibility of the organization, guiding the organization according to its mission and developing innovative ways of working.
The ideal candidate should be committed to our values and in particular to the protection and promotion of human rights. He/she will also have a global vision, demonstrated management skills, great interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with different stakeholders across the field, as well as creativity and persistence.
