Conectas and Sesc carry out the 8th Feira de Ideias celebrating the International Human Rights day; check out the schedule
The event takes place next weekend (5th and 6th of December) at the Sesc 24 de Maio, free admission and with all activities open to the public
On the 5th and 6th of December, Conectas, together with Sesc 24 de Maio, is holding the 8th edition of Feira de Ideias (Ideas Fair), an event that gathers projects and initiatives from multiple regions of Brazil dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights. The activity celebrates the International Human Rights Day, on December 10th, and is free admission and open to the public.
Over the course of two days, the public will get to know 20 projects presented in exhibition tables, audiovisual exhibits, and visual exhibits. The initiatives approach subjects such as religious diversity, inclusion in schools, the anti-asylum fight, creative economy in the outskirts, preservation of indigenous cultures, challenges for migrant trans people, women incarceration, police violence, and impacts of the climate crisis in the Amazon.
Feira de Ideias will be open to the public on Friday (5), from 01:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m., and on Friday (6), from 11:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., at the Sesc 24 de Maio, located at Rua 24 de Maio, 109 – República, São Paulo (SP). All activities are free of charge.

Debate panels
The schedule includes two debate panels on Saturday (6), both with sign language interpreters.
“Acender a solidariedade, transcender o autoritarismo” (Light up solidarity, transcend authoritarianism)
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 01:00 p.m.
The encounter celebrates the release of the 2025 edition of the Sur Journal. Glaucia Marinho (Justiça Global) and Julia Neiva (Conectas) participate. Bianca Santana (journalist and writer) will be the mediator.
“Sustentabilidade financeira – caminhos e desafios para projetos de direitos humanos” (Financial sustainability – paths and challenges for human rights projects”
Time: 04:00 p.m. to 05:30 p.m.
With Alynne Andrade (Fundo Brasil), Gugo Siqueira (Rede Comuá), and Paulo Malvezzi (Agência Diadorim). Leon Souza (Casa Galileia) will be the mediator.

The conversation sessions with those who designed the projects will be carried out on:
Friday (5): 03:00 p.m. to 04:30 p.m.
Saturday (6): 02:00 p.m. to 03:30 p.m.
Mediation by Angel Natan (Acervo Bajubá), with sign language interpreters.
Music
The band Libertat, with a lineup consisting of immigrants and their descendants dedicated to the spread of Latin-American and Andean music, will play on Friday (5), at 06:00 p.m.
