Read the article by Júlia Neiva, Conectas coordinator on Social and Environmental Rights program, with  Adriana Ramos, one of the partners at ISA (Socio-Environmental Institute, published in the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper on the Bill (Bill 3729/2004)  which amends  licensing in Brazil, attacks the preservation of the environment and also violates international agreements.

“The new law intends to promote licensing flexibility and weaken regulations that currently ensure the protection of the environment.”
