The National Academy of Transnational Studies (ANET) has sealed a partnership with Conectas to stage the next research cycle of the Transnational Studies Observatory on the topic “International Accountability of Transnational Corporations and its Impact on the Protection of Human Rights”.

To conduct the studies, a call has been issued to select volunteer researchers. Applications will be accepted from trained specialists and undergraduate and postgraduate students with experience on the topic, provided they are members of ANET.

Four study groups will be formed by volunteer researchers over an eight-month period on the following topics:

  • The UN’s planned Treaty on Transnational Corporations and Human Rights: a study on its application;
  • Environmental damage and human rights violations by transnational corporations: justice, protection and redress for affected populations;
  • Foreign investments and human rights: environmental and social responsibility of foreign investors;
  • The strengthening of transnational corporations: new dimensions of their international role and their relationship with States.

Registration is open until March 29. To participate, the call is available here.
