In commemoration of International Human Rights Day, Conectas staged last Thursday, December 8, its 2nd Ideas Fair. The event exhibited nearly 30 projects developed by groups, NGOs and students from various parts of the country at the organization’s offices in São Paulo and it was attended by dozens of visitors.
As the fair took place, the visitors could circulate among all the projects on display – among them films, photographic exhibitions, monographs, academic works, media reports and others – while the exhibitors presented the goals, methodologies and impacts of their work. For this year’s edition, registrations were received from 112 projects.
“[At the event] I got to know some wonderful experiences, and it is great and very important at a time like this for us to come together increasingly more in our belief in human rights and in the importance of the dignity of all people,” said Isabel Rodrigues, who was representing the School of Government project together with Pedro Javier Aguerre.
“The experience was very enriching, not only for the opportunity to promote the SP Invisível (Invisible São Paulo) project, but also for us to get to know other inspiring stories and projects,” said Paula Pereira, who presented his movement that raises awareness about people living on the streets by telling their stories.
The Ideas Fair is an annual event organized by Conectas that aims to bring people and organizations together from different parts of the country to present projects related to the defense and promotion of human rights.
