This publication seeks to fill two of the main gaps in the public debate on BNDES. The first of these refers to the need to produce and update technical knowledge about socio-environmental impacts and human rights violations verified in projects and ventures financed by the bank. The scarcity of systematized studies in this area is a direct consequence of the lack of transparency that still persists regarding social and environmental information in the scope of the bank’s activities.
