{"id":5312,"date":"2015-12-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.conectas.org.inf.br\/wp\/noticias\/seminar-imprisoned-women\/"},"modified":"2021-04-23T18:40:38","modified_gmt":"2021-04-23T18:40:38","slug":"seminar-imprisoned-women","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/conectas.org\/en\/noticias\/seminar-imprisoned-women\/","title":"Seminar :: imprisoned women","content":"<div class=\"tts_content_wrapper_1\" ><p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 680px; height: 490px;\" src=\"\/arquivos\/editor\/images\/Mulheres_encarceiradas_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>The imprisonment of women will be the topic of a seminar being organized by Conectas Human Rights in partnership with ITTC (Land, Employment and Citizenship Institute), Pastoral Carcer\u00e1ria (the Catholic Church\u2019s prisoner outreach service) and the Imprisoned Women Work and Study Group.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLatin American Seminar on Incarcerated Women\u201d will address the specific problems encountered by female prisoners, such as health and maternity, in addition to proposals to reduce the number of women in the country\u2019s prisons and the impact of drug policy on the growth of the female prison population.<\/p>\n<p>Leading Latin American specialists on the topic, such as researchers and jurists, as well as civil society representatives \u2013 all women \u2013 will run the panels and the debates.<\/p>\n<p>The event also has the support of CADH (Human Rights Lawyers Collective), IBCCRIM (Brazilian Criminal Sciences Institute), PBPD (Brazilian Drug Policy Platform) and the Criminal Justice Network.<\/p>\n<p>To register for free, email us at <u>eventos@localhost<\/u> with your name and identity card number.
