On July 28 and 29, civil society organizations are holding the event \u201c<\/span>2 years of Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Escudo: Discussing Memory, Justice, and Reparation<\/b>\u201d. The first day of the event will be held at the campus of Unifesp, at CAAF (Center for Forensic Anthropology and Archeology) of the Baixada Santista region, and the second in S\u00e3o Paulo, at the USP Law School. <\/span>Click here<\/span><\/a> to sign up \u2013 this is required for the issuance of a participation certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The activities are organized by Conectas, Amnesty International, the New Illegalities Study Group (Geni \u2013 UFF), The Independent Movement and School <\/span>M\u00e3es de Maio<\/span><\/i> (EDEPE) and the Specialized Citizenship and Human Rights Center (NCDH) of the S\u00e3o Paulo State Public Defender\u2019s Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the course of two days, the schedule includes the release of a report made by Geni \u2013 UFF analyzing the forensic evidence of all cases of Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Escudo; the disclosure of a technical note on the work of the Prosecution Office in the control of police forces made by Amnesty International, and intends to foster public debate on memory, justice and reparation.<\/span><\/p>\n
