One of the objectives of the study is to contribute to holding individuals accountable for COVID-19-related crimes, addressing the issue as a matter of memory, truth, justice, reparation, and non-repetition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the event, the first article of this study, which has just been published in the journal, \u00b4Direito e Pr\u00e1xis\u00b4, will be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Read more:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/conectas.org\/noticias\/pesquisa-revela-risco-de-impunidade-em-crimes-contra-saude-publica-durante-a-covid-19-no-brasil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Research reveals risk of impunity for crimes against public health during Covid-19 in Brazil<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participating in the event are the co-authors of the research Deisy Ventura, Fernando Aith (FSP-USP) and Rossana Rocha Reis (IRI-USP), along with researchers Bianca Villas Boas, Juliana Pontes and Cristiane Pereira. They will be joined by Gabriel Sampaio, director of Litigation and Advocacy at Conectas, Helena Regina Lobo (FD-USP) and Soraya Smaili (Unifesp) to discuss the implications of the research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event will take place in the Ruy Barbosa Auditorium in the Law School at USP, at 10am.
