The Seminar will be held on three consecutives Tuesdays this August; (the 17th, 24th and 31st).  Corporate governance aligned with obligations and commitments to protect and promote human rights will be part of the agenda at the seminar, titled; \u201cLaws of the Productive Chain, towards due diligence?\u2019\u2019.  Anyone who wishes can join on Zoom platform or follow it live on <\/span>Youtube<\/span><\/i><\/a>, from 9am to 11am on the stated days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar is organized by the Information Center on Business and Human Rights (BHRRC), Conectas, the Christian Initiative Romero (CIR) and Rep\u00f3rter Brasil, in conjunction with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).<\/span><\/p>\n

The objective of \u200b\u200bthis meeting is to engage Brazilians on the subject, through an analysis of the current international panorama of legislation on transparency in production chains and due diligence, as well as discussions on how Brazilian society as a whole can benefit from them.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the participation of representatives of Brazilian and international civil society organizations, together with public agents working on the topic, how fight against violations in production chains in Brazil is currently carried out, will also be discussed, in addition to  whether the elaboration of a Brazilian legislation on due diligence would be feasible and capable to solve any problems found.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from the organizing bodies, other institutions will also participate in the discussions, such as CONTAR (National Confederation of Rural Workers and Family Farmers), OXFAM Brasil and HOMA \u2013 Center for Human Rights and Companies.<\/span><\/p>\n
