Considered one of Brazil\u2019s leading journalistic distinctions, the Vladimir Herzog Award is a nationwide and annual prize that recognizes reporting work that enhances Democracy and Human Rights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enter, candidates must access the <\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/premiovladimirherzog.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website of the Award<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, fill out the registration form and attach their work that was published or broadcast between August 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. One new development this year is the reinstatement of the non-fiction book category, for which entries will be accepted for books published between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Registration categories:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Written journalism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Articles published in print or electronic media (in the case of a series, registration is limited to one article)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Audio journalism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Audio reports or documentaries (in the case of a series, registration is limited to one report or episode)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Video journalism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Video reports or documentaries (in the case of a series, registration is limited to one episode)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Multimedia journalism<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Multimedia reports published on the internet (in the case of a series, registration is limited to one report)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Photography<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Photograph or photographic series published in print or electronic media (in the case of a series, limited to a maximum of 6 images)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Art<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Illustrations, caricatures and cartoons published in print or electronic media (in the case of a series, registration is limited to one piece)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Non-fiction book<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> = Books published in the past two years &#8211; 2019 and 2020 (registration is limited to one book per author)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>43rd Vladimir Herzog Journalism Award for Amnesty and Human Rights<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is staged and organized by a commission formed by the following institutions: the National Federation of Journalists \u2013 FENAJ; the Union of Professional Journalists of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo; the Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of S\u00e3o Paulo; the Brazilian Press Association \u2013 ABI; the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism \u2013 ABRAJI; the Periferia em Movimento communication group; the School of Communication and Art of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 ECA\/USP; the Vladimir\u00a0Herzog Institute; the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association; the S\u00e3o Paulo Chapter of the Brazilian Bar Association; Conectas Human Rights; the S\u00e3o Paulo State Police Ombudsman\u2019s Office; and the Brazilian Association of
