{"id":28587,"date":"2021-03-04T15:27:02","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T15:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conectas.org\/?post_type=noticia&#038;p=28587"},"modified":"2021-04-01T12:05:43","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T12:05:43","slug":"national-pact-for-life-reinforces-demands-for-covid-19-prevention","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/conectas.org\/en\/noticias\/national-pact-for-life-reinforces-demands-for-covid-19-prevention\/","title":"National Pact for Life reinforces demands for Covid-19 prevention","content":"<div class=\"tts_content_wrapper_1\" ><p>More than a hundred civil society organizations and social movements from across the country have released a manifesto in support of the National Pact for Life, an initiative of the National Council of State Health Departments for prevention measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Among other demands, the Pact calls for more stringent measures to restrict non-essential activities, legal recognition of the health emergency, the provision of extraordinary funds for the public health system and the approval of a National Economic Recovery Plan that includes the immediate resumption of emergency income support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the data indicate that we are currently experiencing the worst moment of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 since the beginning of last year.
