The complaint was lodged by the organization itself, in partnership with Conectas Human Rights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAggressive speeches by Brazilian authorities encourage violence against indigenous peoples and environmental defenders, and we should not forget that native peoples do the most to protect the environment in our country. Brazil is already one of the most dangerous countries in the world for indigenous human rights defenders,\u201d warned the organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Read the full speech sent to the UN<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Friday, September 18, Heleno declared on his social networks that the association has joined with other groups to tarnish the image of the government abroad, accusing the group of crime against the State. The minister repeated the attack in an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/br.reuters.com\/article\/politica-indios-heleno-idBRKCN26D31I-OBRDN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><b>interview on R\u00e1dio Bandeirantes<\/b><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0on Tuesday, September 22.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other Brazilian organizations at the event also denounced attacks made by the Executive against indigenous leaders. The Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association, through its representative, the indigenous lawyer Cristiane Soares, pointed out that various groups are being intimidated, such as leaders of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/deolhonosruralistas.com.br\/2020\/04\/18\/aos-32-anos-indigena-uru-eu-wau-wau-e-assassinado-em-rondonia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><b>Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau<\/b><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><a
