Contrary to information provided by Conectas, the public notice for the exam Mais Revalida 2020, published in the Official Gazette on 20 August, has no connection with the federal government. This exam is in fact held by Icespe (the National Institute for the Validation of Overseas Studies) in partnership with several public universities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The official Revalida, set out in Act n\u00ba 13.959\/2019, is implemented by INEP (the An\u00edsio Teixeira National Institute of Educational Studies and Research), a federal autarchy linked to the Ministry for Education, responsible for evaluations and exams, statistics and indicators and for the administration of knowledge and educational studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a note, Compassiva<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, a civil society association that works with the revalidation of refugees\u00b4 diplomas, clarified that Mais Revalida does not have the support of the Ministry for Education, nor is it recognised by the Federal Council for Medicine, which is the federal autarchy responsible for monitoring the practice of medicine in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conectas apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to inform that it will continue demanding that the exam be held and that the rules regarding the needs of refugees and migrants in vulnerable circumstances be observed. The note in question has been removed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
