An action lodged with the Federal Supreme Court (STF) is seeking to ensure this right for more women and is calling for the decriminalisation of abortion up to the 12th week of gestation.<\/p>\n<p>Conectas presented an<strong> amicus curiae at the ADPF 422<\/strong>\u00a0in favour of safe abortion, together with the Land, Work and Citizenship Institute (ITTC) and will be heard at the STF public hearing on 6 August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&gt;&gt;<\/strong><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/conectas.org\/arquivos\/editor\/files\/2017-09-28%20-%20Amicus_adpf%20aborto_ITTC_Conectas_final%20para%20protocolo.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Read the full amicus<\/a> (in portuguese)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>\u201cNeither imprisoned, nor dead\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0campaign was established by feminist organisations and collectives from a number of different areas, as well as independent women who have united in widening the debate on the right to abortion in Brazil.
