Conectas will be at the forum and it is organizing four events together with partners and other groups. See the program below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wsf2018.org\/atividades\/o-financiamento-do-bid-como-instrumento-de-remocao-de-populacao-pobre-tirando-o-seu-direito-cidade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inter-American Development Bank Financing and its Eviction Policy: the case of Nova Tatetuba<\/a><br \/>\nMarch 15, Thursday, 9 am, at PAF VI, room 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event will analyze the case of the eviction of the population from the Nova Tatetuba community in S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos (state of S\u00e3o Paulo), where nearly 400 families were affected, with serious consequences on human rights in general and for the city in particular. Speakers: Cosme Vitor (S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Campos Association of Favelas), Alexandre Sampaio (International Accountability Project), Rosilene Wansetto (Jubileu Sul Network), J\u00falia Neiva (Business and Human Rights Resource Centre) and Julia Cortez da Cunha Cruz (Conectas Human Rights)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1431848116940914\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mass Incarceration is not Justice campaign<\/a><br \/>\nMarch 15, Thursday, 10:30 am to 12 noon, at the School of Nutrition of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Criminal Justice Network, of which Conectas is part, will stage a debate on the campaign and make available the 360o virtual reality film \u201cVisceral Reality\u201d, in which participants put on virtual reality goggles and find themselves in an overcrowded cell where they hear the story of Emerson, a former prisoner turned psychologist, who narrates what life is like in prison.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.plataformadh.org.br\/2018\/03\/13\/plataforma-dhesca-realiza-conjunto-de-atividades-no-fsm2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Debate on Fiscal Austerity and the Dismantling of the State \u2013 Repercussions in the field of Human Rights<\/a><br \/>\nMarch 15, Thursday, 2 pm, at the Human Rights Tent of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CNDH (National Human Rights Council) and the Coalition on Anti-Austerity and Pro-Repeal of Constitutional Amendment 95 will present the main impacts on human rights of economic austerity policies and the dismantling of the State. Cutting investments in social policies and policies for vulnerable groups has direct and real consequences on people\u2019s lives. Conectas has one of the civil society seats on the CNDH.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jusdh.org.br\/2018\/03\/13\/fsm-2018-jusdh-e-parceiros-realizam-atividades-sobre-a-relacao-entre-o-sistema-de-justica-e-os-direitos-humanos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justice, Democracy and Human Rights<\/a><br \/>\nMarch 16, Friday, 2 pm, at the Human Rights Tent of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A critical debate on the role of the justice system in the construction of democracy, the promotion of equality and the realization of human rights. Panel organized by the JusDh human rights group, of which Conectas is a member, with the participation of Marcelo Lav\u00e9n\u00e8re Machado and Sueli Bellato of CBJP (Brazilian Justice and Peace
