The winners of the 40th Vladimir Herzog Award

The awards ceremony will take place on 25 October following a conversation circle with the winning journalists and those receiving honourable mention.

On 11 October, the Organising Commission made up of 13 organisations, among them Conectas, selected the winners of the 40th Vladimir Herzog Award for Amnesty and Human Rights. The selection and announcement took place in public session, in the Tiradentes Hall at the Sao Paulo Municipal Chambers.

This year’s edition saw the second highest number of registrations in the history of the Award, with 402 pieces of work, second only to the previous edition, with 442 registrations.

The categories of the Award were Art, Photography, Audio, Multimedia, Text and Video. The winners and those given honourable mention will receive the award at a ceremony on 25 October in Tucarena, after a conversation circle with the authors. The event is free of charge.
