Conectas, on Wednesday (7th July) launched the first Climate Justice Notebook – Retrospective of Climate Litigation in Brazil, which is about the analyses of the main climate disputes in the country in 2020 and the impact of these cases on the judiciary in 2021.
The publication addresses, among several topics, actions on the Amazon Fund, measures to curb deforestation and requests for climate emergencies in certain cities in Brazil, cases that are distributed in different courts.
This is the first of three notebooks to be published this semester on climate justice. It mainly focused on the intersection of climate litigation, environmental justice and human rights. The publications are being prepared with the support of the Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS).
