On Friday (03), at 10am, the Commission for Human Rights and Minority Groups in the Chamber of Deputies is to hold a public hearing to discuss the topic of the “Right to protest and association”.
The event is based on the recommendations of the UPR (Universal Periodic Review), the mechanism for the assessment of human rights conditions in the member countries of the UN (United Nations). Watch it live via this link.
Camila Asano, programme director at Conectas Human Rights, other civil society representatives, public organs and the federal government are participating in the public hearing. The UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to peaceful assembly, Clément Nyaletsossi Voule, is also among the guests.
