The relaxation of environmental licensing and legislation and the threats to the rights of traditional peoples are the topics of an event that will be held at the University of São Paulo Law School on May 19, starting at 8:30 am. The debate will be attended by the UN special rapporteur on human rights and the environment, John Knox.
The debate panel will also be comprised of Caio Borges of Conectas, Maurício Guetta of ISA (Socioambiental Institute), Cláudia Perrone of the University of São Paulo Law School and Patrícia Iglecias, Paulo Almeida and the moderator Lia Helena Demange of SGA/USP (Environmental Management Superintendency of the University of São Paulo).
