The Chamber of Deputies is holding, this Friday (9th of July), at 10 am, a public hearing to talk about Brazil’s adherence to the OECD’s (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) International Program of Action on Climate. The discussion is taking place within the scope of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Defence. Here is the channels of the TV Câmara’s link.
This OECD program will consist of indicators to assess how countries are developing decarbonisation processes in their economies. Each country will get a grade and recommendations as well as good sustainability practices.
The participants in the debate are Júlia Mello Neiva; coordinator of Development and Social and Environmental Rights at Conectas, Luiz Vicente Vicentin Aguilar; Project Manager of the Department of International Relations of Ministry of Environment and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy.
